  • Who are the featured performers this year?
Headshot of a smiling Gladys Knight.

    Gladys Knight

The great ones endure, and Gladys Knight has long been one of the greatest. Very few singers over the last sixty years have matched her unassailable artistry. This seven-time GRAMMY Award winner has enjoyed number-one hits in Pop, Gospel, R&B, and Adult Contemporary genres, and has triumphed in film, television, and live performance.

All told, Knight has recorded more than 38 albums over the years, including four solo albums: “Good Woman” (1991); “Just for You” (1994); the inspirational “Many Different Roads” (1999); and “At Last” (2001). “At Last” showed the world that she still has what it takes to record a hit album, employing the talents of contemporary producers like Randy Jackson.

Her involvement in other creative undertakings, business ventures and humanitarian activities has been extensive, and has brought her honors from industry and community alike.

    Jason Derulo

Jason Derulo may be recognizable worldwide as a multiplatinum singer and songwriter, visionary entrepreneur, best-selling author, committed philanthropist, and engaging presence, but his story starts unassumingly. The self-described“kid from a Haitian family in Miami” has quietly and consistently worked hard to emerge as one of his generation’s most prolific stars. Generating tens of billions of streams and reaching a $100 million net worth, his global sales exceed 250 million singles with dozens of multiplatinum and platinum certifications for smashes such as “Wiggle” [feat. Snoop Dogg], “Take You Dancing,” “Talk Dirty” [feat. 2 Chainz], “Whatcha Say,” and more.

Inspirational Lifetime Achievement Award: Diane Warren

A longtime supporter of the cause and renowned award-winning songwriter Diane Warren will be honored with the “Inspirational Lifetime Achievement Award.” This year marks the second time the “Inspirational Lifetime Achievement Award” has been bestowed to honor an individual with an incredible legacy and lasting impact. Previously, the inaugural honor had been awarded to Sir Sidney Poitier in 2016.

Diane Warren is one of modern music’s most celebrated songwriters. She has penned nine #1 and thirty-three top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and is tied for having written the most #1 songs as a sole writer in Billboard history. She was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2001 and received the prestigious Johnny Mercer Award from the organization in June 2024. Her distinguished catalog features beloved songs including “Only Love Can Hurt Like This,” “Un-Break My Heart,” “If I Could Turn Back Time” and “Rhythm of the Night.”

    Brass Ring Award: Jimmy Jam

Diabetes activist, songwriter and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Jimmy Jam will be honored with the “Brass Ring Award”.

Five-time Grammy Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Jimmy Jam is a world-renowned songwriter, record producer, musician, entrepreneur, and one-half of the most influential and successful songwriting/production duo in modern music history, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Along with Lewis his 40-year business partner and 50-year best friend, Jimmy’s accomplishments have elevated him to iconic status within the music industry.
