The larger the event, the more CDF will be involved.

Money raised at your event will benefit the Children’s Diabetes Foundation and the thousands of children and adults cared for at the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes so they can continue receiving world-class care. Donations also continue the 81 research studies taking place at the Barbara Davis Center.

Example Fundraisers

  • A Simple Halloween Fundraiser

Isaac Epp was diagnosed with diabetes three years ago and knew he had to celebrate Halloween a bit differently than everyone else now. He decided that he would raise money for diabetes instead of going trick-or-treat. He started a GoFundMe page with a hope of raising $100. Before he knew it, his story and letter were being shared all over the internet and he raised over $2,500! You can see Isaac’s fundraising page here: https://www.gofundme.com/4y7qh3ss

  • Looking for a Beneficiary?

Dede Cannon and Sue Fernandez were looking for a children’s charity to benefit from the Corner Store Country Run when they thought of their friend, Jessica Bloom and her daughter Ani. Ani is an incredible six year old who has been living with diabetes since 2012 and was lucky enough to have Dede and Sue as her babysitters. They chose to benefit the Children’s Diabetes Foundation for the Corner Story Country Run to honor Ani. You can read Ani’s full story here. The Children’s Diabetes Foundation and the Barbara Davis Center helped with the application for the Corner Store Country Run and then shared Ani’s story on our blog, social media, and newsletter.

  • Hot Air Balloons and Dragons

Meg Skelton created an incredible fundraiser, FiredUp4Cure. Watch Meg’s fundraising video to see how you can share your story to create an emotional connection with your donors:
