Charlotte Tucker Scholarship

Charlotte Tucker Scholarship

Please visit again in February 2018 to apply.

The Charlotte Tucker Scholarship is for Barbara Davis Center patients (seen in the last 12 months) with type 1 diabetes and at least a minimum of a 2.0 grade point average. To apply, you must be one of the following:

  • A high school senior who is planning on attending a 2 year or 4 year college or trade school
  • A college undergraduate taking a minimum of 9 credits a semester (or equivalent hours).

Through an application process each year, The Guild grants higher education scholarships to patients at the Barbara Davis Center.  We have seen students go on to be doctors, nurses, lawyers, hairdressers and mechanics, just to mention a few!

“As a type 1 diabetic, I am aware of the technological advances in the treatment for type 1 diabetes, and I am hoping that I can use my education to further help the way diabetes is cared for and make life for all those with type 1 diabetes easier in the future.”

“Academically I have been named to the Dean’s List for the past three semesters and was just recently awarded with a Psychology Scholar-Athlete Award. This award is presented to a student who maintains high academic performance while also participating in college athletics. I take pride in being a student-athlete and role model in the community and look forward to my senior year.”
