Jewels For Hope
In the fall of 2004, a small committee was established to collect jewelry donations to sell with the goal of raising money for diabetes research. We originally promoted it as ‘dusty jewelry’ i.e. unworn jewelry gathering dust in drawers. People were very enthusiastic and willingly donated. We met as a committee a few times to brainstorm and price jewelry. Out of those sessions, “Jewels For Hope” was born.
Thank you to all our wonderful supporters. We asked you to help and you have. Some people buy Jewels For Hope and some people donate Jewels For Hope. Some people do both. It has been so heartwarming to have people from different states, total strangers, learn what we’re doing and help. They have reached into their jewelry drawers to raise funds in the fight against diabetes.
To donate jewelry, contact Susan Squyer or send jewelry to the Children’s Diabetes Foundation at 4380 S. Syracuse St. #430, Denver, CO 80237
