Team Bubby Krog
On January 7, 2016 our world changed forever. Our beautiful, healthy, happy little boy passed away in his sleep during nap time. Unbeknownst to us, our son Gabriel Krog developed acute onset hyperglycemic diabetes. It happened very quickly and with no symptoms. He went to sleep and woke up in heaven. He was 2 years, 2 months and 22 days.
Gabe was a sweet, lovable two year old little boy. He loved trains, planes and Micky Mouse. He was brilliant beyond his years and had the vocabulary of a four year old. Gabe’s best friend was his big sister who desperately misses him. Gabe freely gave hugs and kisses. He would happily carry on a conversation with friends of any age. He was mommy’s delight and daddy’s pride and joy.
On January 8, 2017, Michael Krog (Gabe’s Daddy) and Team Bubby Krog (#Teambubbykrog) will be running in the Disney Marathon to honor his memory. We will be using this event as a fund raiser to support the Children’s Diabetes Foundation. We would like to help children with diabetes since we were never able to care for Gabe in this fashion. Proceeds will go directly into research as well as financially assist families who cannot afford medical treatment for their diabetic child. If you would like to help us with this endeavor please click on the link to donate.
There are others who are also running as part of Team Bubby Krog. Some will be running with Mike, others will be running on their own the same day as the Disney Marathon. If you would like to purchase a tee shirt or run in his honor on January 8, 2017 please let us know (Email: firstname.lastname@example.org). Thank you for your support and God Bless!
