The Diabetes & Endocrinology Research Center (DERC)
The Barbara Davis Center is home to The Diabetes & Endocrinology Research Center (DERC) a NIH-funded program that facilitates diabetes research, biomedical facilities, grants, education and training programs for faculty, research fellows, graduate and undergraduate students.
The DERC is home to the NIDDK Medical Student Research Summer Program which offers medical students an opportunity to conduct laboratory-based, clinical, or translational research under the direction of an established scientist in the area of diabetes or obesity.
